Here's what past clients have said about working with me:

"I was literally in bed hiding under the covers when I first connected with Jean.

My struggles with my son, his special needs and keeping him in school had totally overwhelmed me. I felt lost, scared, and so embarrassingly needy. I think that's the hardest part of parenting a special-needs kid: believing it's okay to have your own feelings.

Mostly, at first, I just cried, and Jean just listened. Feeling heard, and validated, and encouraged got me out of bed. And it was really only a few short sessions later that I felt like I had a plan for moving forward. Jean's knowledge base is so great. She could speak to my emotional needs as a mom, the needs of my family in coping with my son, and what resources will be helpful for my son. I feel like she is treating the family as a whole.

Jean has an amazing ability to offer genuine emotional support, but also to create a plan with specific steps to take, so that what felt insurmountable just an hour before, can feel totally doable. I am grateful to her for being there when I really needed a knowledgable expert with heart."

"WORKING WITH JEAN IS LIKE HAVING A LIFE COACH FOR YOUR SON OR DAUGHTER, ONE WHO HAS THE TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE TO TAILOR A PLAN TO YOUR CHILD’S UNIQUE DESIRES, NEEDS AND SITUATION.

If only we had found Jean sooner, it would have been such a time saver…precious time that we could have spent on digger deeper into our son's unique gifts and abilities. Like most parents, we want our son to be happy and to find his place in this world. We believe that Jean shares that goal with us.

Jean is a woman of extraordinary talents and Alpha Transitions LLC is leading the way in advocating for the rights of individuals with development disabilities. Jean recognized that there was a serious need to help serve these individuals who are often "left behind." Without a well-developed plan in place, these amazing children and young adults often fall through the holes in the fabric of our society.  Because they do not fit the neurotypical mold, traditional methods and routes are neither practical nor effective.

Jean’s keen intellect and her artistic eye for detail are just a few of the tools that she uses to focus her attention on guiding young people with developmental disabilities.  We would encourage anyone in a situation similar to ours to contact her at Alpha Transitions LLC and start creating a road map for your loved one's future. It's never too early or too late.”

Thanks to an excellent transition program he left school with full time employment, but In his final year of high school i had questions about what was coming next and what I should expect.

I worked with Jean at alpha transitions to get answers. I wanted to make informed decisions about what my role would be in my now adult son’s life and what services were available to him post-graduation. In addition to providing me with important information on community resources available to him as he gets older, Jean provided in-person support during his final Transition meeting.

During this meeting Jean listened carefully and afterwards she pointed out the things that needed to be done that were not in the Transition Plan and how to get them from the high school so that my son would have all the requisite documentation for his post-secondary life. I am grateful to have worked with Jean. It gave me immense peace of mind.
